  • What food licenses do you have? Can you serve alcohol?
    Catering LIcense: We have a current full service catering license from the Marin County Environmental Health Services Liquor License: We have a current CA State ABC #54 Liquor License Both our owners have ServSafe Food Manager Certifications from the State of California Environmental Health Services
  • How do I get pricing for one of your services?
    Every way possible! We prefer if you could out our contact form on the "Contact" page (don't forget your contact information!) and we will email or call you back as soon as possible! That being said, we also love to text (415-720-5887) if that works best for you!
  • My event is short notice, what do I do?"
    Consider us your magic fairy dust! We will do anything and everything we can to accomodate your event, call us right away!
  • I am a corporate business interested in a long-term partnership with your team! How do I get in touch?
    We LOVE to partner with local area businesses & corporations! We also give discounts for repeat business, non-profits, and our U.S. Military members.
  • Can I bring my own food/drinks/dog/etc. to one of your events?
    Unfortunatly due to Coast Guard regulations & health permit restrictions we may have to limit pets (contact us for specific situations!) Otherwise, working service dogs with current licensure are welcome aboard! (we love furry friends!) On our smaller yachts, we welcome you to bring on your own beverages and snacks! When working with our larger FIve Stars Yacht, you are more than welcome to bring along your own wine for a $15.00 corkage fee! Otherwise, don't worry, we have a bunch of alcohol options on board for purchase.
  • Tell me about your staff! What is their training and background?
    Both of our owners (LIsa & John Scopazzi) are Licensed Master, 100 ton Captains by the U.S. Coast Guard & also have a ton of fun training & mentoring cadets from the Cal Maritime Academy as well on our yachts! Our staff are all handpicked locals from the Bay Area; we work with chefs from the City College of San Francisco (yum!), boat captains from the local SF Ferry Boats, and servers and workers from all industry types.
  • Safety is super important, what steps do you take to make sure everything is ok?"
    Your safety onboard & at our events is our number 1 priority! The Five Stars Yacht is a U.S. Coast Guard approved yacht, which basically means our vessel is extra double checked for safety in an annual, top to bottom, every item checked inspection. For crew positions, we require U.S. Coast Guard- licensed 100-ton Captains and all crew is required to be First Aid & CPR trained Additionally, all our staff is required to be drug-free for all safety positions, and yes, we do do random drug testing for our team. For catering specifically, we also have an on-site licensed food manager, and each employee is required to go thorugh California's food handler training! Attention to detail keeps you safe!
